One: The most important thing to remember about skin care is to proceed slowly! Many of even the best known products contain harmful chemicals.

Two: Another good skin care moisture tip is to make sure that your skin care products don't contain any alcohol. Alcohol dries out the natural oils your skin produces. This actually causes your skin to produce even more oil, clogging your pores and making your skin look unnaturally oily.

Three: Look for all natural ingredients. Even some of the best, most expensive skin care moisture products have industrial chemicals used as fillers--stuff like mineral oil.

Four: Whatever you do avoid fragrance! There are over 4,000 chemicals that can be used as fragrances. A shocking number of them are carcinogens!

Five: Real labels carefully. The ingredients that are a greater percentage of the skin care cream are listed first. If there are some active ingredients that you want to see, like aloe vera, and if it comes last in the ingredients list, you can bet there's only enough of it to list. Not enough to do any good!

Six: Make sure all the oils are plant based oils, not mineral oils.

Seven: Use as little sunscreen as possible. Instead of sunscreen, try staying out of the sun.

Eight: Be really careful with the skin around your eyes. It's very delicate, and the wrong products can easily injure it!

Nine: Don't keep your skin care moisture products for long periods of time. The active ingredients go bad. Some of them are organic and can go rancid. Buy small containers and replace them frequently.
